God is working and we can't do a thing about it!
Whitmans' Prayer Letter
November 2009
                                           Dear Friends,
This month we can truly identify with the words of Paul in Sunset in UmbriaEphesians 3:20-21:
"to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

God is doing so much more than we could have ever imagined!  Enjoy and praise God with us!
Since Our Last Letter
 Answers you prayed for:

1. My Dad's health

Praise God for helping my Dad along with his recovery after four mini-strokes!  He has even returned to preaching!
Please continue to pray for his full recovery.

2. Suzanne Mayer- 1935-2009

We mentioned to pray for Lucio and Cristina Stanisci and for Cristina's mother.  Lucio has been helping us quite a bit since my Dad's episodes in September.
On Thanksgiving day 2009, we participated in the funeral of Suzanne Mayer.  We thank God for the testimony of her life and the words that were shared by Cristina and Lucio, as well as Suzanne's husband Peter, in celebrating a life lived for God right up to her last breath.

The funeral was held in Porchiano del Monte, the Umbrian hometown of Lucio's mother where Lucio and his family currently reside.

Continue to pray for this family as well as for the unbelieving Umbrians who participated and heard the Gospel in occasion of her passing.

Melodee now has her drivers' permit finally!!
It only took her 3 years because of the bureaucracy issues!

New Prayer Requests
Here are three time-sensitive prayer requests:

1. Discipleship ministries: Melodee and I are active in reaching out to new people with one-on-one meetings throughout the week.

Jon: Pray for Cristiano (new believer), Giuseppe (still not a believer), Pietro and Vincenzo (young people).
Melodee: Pray for Joanna, Eleonora, Jennifer, Erika.

2. Youth Ministry: Melodee and I are both involved in ministering to Youth.  Pray for the salvation of young unbelievers that are connected to the youth group:
Samantha, Luca, Leo, Eric, Pasquale, Karan, Gustavo, Marco, Amaya, Beatrice, Mario.
Also pray for the young people who are witnessing to them, that their walk would be pure and that they would stay faithful to God in all things.

3. Christmas Outreach:  Every year we do a Christmas outreach where we could expect as many as 100 unbelievers, many coming for the first time, many who never before have heard the Gospel.

Pray for us as we lead the choir/music ministry.

Pray for the drama team, hospitality team, the preaching (my Dad, Fred Whitman), the decorations team and construction teams that are still getting everything ready.

Pray for our church as we seek to give a good-will offering to help a sister church in L'Aquila who lost their building in the  earthquakes this past April.
